Greetings Troop 570!
Sunday afternoon was a bit of a whirlwind as we got settled in to camp, got our campsite set up (our site was changed when we got here so we had a few logistical challenges to overcome), got the boys checked in and swim checks done on the waterfront (refreshing!), and signed up for all of the merit badge classes for the week.
We had a great initial camp campfire program last night in the beautiful firebowl (which overlooks the Hood Canal) put on by the Camp Parsons staff. Some good skits, songs - including some new material!
Boys went off to their 9am classes without too many hitches. We are off and running!
More later!

July 30th, 2012 at 5:46 pm Thank you for the update! Great knowing what the boys are up to - BTW, would you please give us the time of the Friday night dinner/campfire? Some of us parents may be able to attend - I believe we are welcome?
July 31st, 2012 at 6:37 am Way to go, T570! Thanks leaders for all you’re doing to help our boys succeed. Which campground did you end up in? Semper Gumby! Looking forward to hearing more later! Paul
August 1st, 2012 at 8:24 am Greetings Troop 570! I notice its very quiet and peaceful around Kirkland Bothell Kenmore neighborhoods! I hope Camp Parson’s Trees, Lake, and natural resources can sustain our biggest Troop 570! Thank you to so many of our Troop 570 leaders, including: Ms. Rina Klabo for your many months (year) of preparations; our great Scoutmaster Dale and our excellent Asst Scoutmasters; our older Scouts, and SPL Kyle and Asst SPL Older Andrew and others. I was so excited and impressed to see our Sunday morning gathering and then forming into a caravan with our Scoutmaster hauling our beautiful new Troop Trailer and truckload of young Scouts! Best wishes to all for a great week at Camp Parsons! Sincerely, John Urrutia
